Eatlunch who run the coffee shop in the atrium of The Forum were on hand to provide catering for the event...

Guests were served a selection of canapes including:

  • homemade scones with onion chutney, goats cheese and grape,
  • tandori chicken with minty yoghurt served on a naan bread,
  • rare roast beef with horseradish, in a mini yokshirer pudding and
  • sweet chilli prawn and mange-toute skewers

After speeches from the council CEO Sally Marshall, the building was officially opened by the Leader of the Council Andrew Williams


Whilst guests were given tours of the building a selection of cheese boards were presented including:

  • Baby Blue Stilton
  • Applewood Smoked
  • Tickler Mature Chedar,
  • Brie and 
  • Red Leicester.

The event was a grerat success with dignitaries from across the county enjoying the chance to visit the new building and be well fed at the same time!!
